One key, ten apps
Atrium is one account and one key for ten apps. Vault, Notes, Calendar, Lists, Contacts and Budgets are end-to-end encrypted — we could not read them if we wanted to. Polls, Invitations, Registry and Forms are built to be opened by people who don't have an account, so we say plainly what our servers can see for each. Families and teams get shared spaces, roles and admin controls on top. Plans for later live on the roadmap, and nothing on this page is a promise about the future.

Under your key, not ours
Vault, Notes, Calendar, Lists, Contacts and Budgets are encrypted on your device before anything is uploaded. Our servers store and sync ciphertext they cannot read. Calendar event times are the one exception — they stay readable to us so reminders can fire on time.
A password manager that cannot read your passwords
Every item is encrypted on your device under its own key before it is uploaded, including its name and fields. Search, folders and favourites work on your device, on data only you can decrypt.
What makes it different: any item can be locked to a schedule, so it opens only during the windows you choose.
What you store
- Logins, bookmarks and secure notes
- Files, encrypted before upload
- Folders, favourites and a trash you can restore from
- A password generator
- Authenticator (TOTP) codes for a login, paste the key or scan its QR code
Time-locked access
- Daily, weekly and monthly windows
- A date range, such as "not before 1 March"
- Cron rules for anything else
- Break-glass requests approved by the item's owner (Business and Enterprise)
Bringing passwords in and out
- Import from 1Password, Bitwarden, LastPass, Dashlane, Proton Pass, NordPass, Keeper, KeePass/KeePassXC, Chrome, Firefox and Safari
- Export as an encrypted
.atriumbackup, or as unencrypted CSV/JSON to move to another app - Both work on every plan; a suspended account can still export (up to twice) before it's deleted
Sharing and everyday use
- Share an item with people in your household or team (Family, Business and Enterprise; not on Personal)
- Shared vaults with manager, member and viewer roles, and moving items from your own vault into a shared one
- Browser extension that fills in your logins — available as a direct download; store listings are pending
- Copied passwords, and copied authenticator codes, are cleared from the clipboard after 20 seconds
- Auto-lock after 15 minutes idle, with a warning first — or keep a trusted browser unlocked for longer, from 12 hours up to 90 days
- An audit log of unlocks, shares and schedule changes
Markdown notes that stay yours
Write in plain Markdown and link your ideas together the way Obsidian users already do. Notes, file names and attachments are encrypted on your device; search runs on your device too, because our servers cannot read what they would need to search.
What makes it different: your notes go in and out as ordinary Markdown files, so you are never locked in.
Writing and linking
- Markdown files in folders, in one or more workspaces
[[Wikilinks]]and a backlinks list on every note- Tags
- Full-text search
- Daily notes and templates
- Note types beyond Markdown: checklist, journal, meeting, outline, screenplay, recipe, letter, table, board, form, code and plain text
- A canvas for laying notes out visually, database-style views across notes, a graph of your links, and bookmarks
Safety and portability
- Version history you can restore from
- Import an Obsidian vault folder or loose Markdown files
- Export as a zip of Markdown files
- End-to-end encrypted, including file names
Long-form writing
- Manuscript mode: organise a long piece into scenes and reorder them
- Compile a manuscript to EPUB or DOCX
- Word sprints: a 15, 25 or 45 minute timer that logs how much you wrote
Time capsules
- Seal a note until a date you choose, like a letter to your future self
- Our server's clock holds the extra lock, so the note can't be opened early by changing your computer's time; you can allow a 24-hour early-open delay when you seal it
A calendar that keeps the details to itself
Event titles and details are encrypted on your device. The times of events are not: our server needs them to send reminders on time and to work out recurring events. We say so here instead of hiding it.
What makes it different: reminder emails say when, never what. Our reminder service never has your titles.
Events and tasks
- Several calendars, each with its own colour
- Timed and all-day events
- Recurring events, with changed or skipped occurrences
- Tasks
- Quick add in plain language, in English, French or Spanish: "lunch with Sam Friday 12:30"
- Reminders as in-app notifications or email
- Shared calendars with the people in your household or team
Booking pages and finding a time
- A public booking page: share a link and people pick a time you're actually free, in English, French or Spanish
- Several meeting types with their own lengths, buffers, notice, daily and weekly limits, questions and location (video link, phone, in person); approve bookings yourself if you prefer
- A confirmed booking becomes a calendar event automatically, and guests can reschedule or cancel from their own link
- Find a time: see when people in your household or team are free — busy blocks only, never event details — and get suggested times
- For people outside your team, a scheduling poll finalizes straight into your calendar
Bringing calendars in and out
- Import and export ICS files
- Subscribe to ICS feeds by link. Our server fetches these feeds, so subscribed calendars are not end-to-end encrypted
- Connect outside calendar accounts over CalDAV, and Google and Microsoft where enabled: those events are fetched and stored under our key, not yours
- Coming soon: using your Atrium calendars from Apple Calendar, Thunderbird and DAVx5 (CalDAV). It will be opt-in per calendar, because it makes that calendar readable to our server
- Public holiday calendars for Canada and the United States
Checklists and groceries, shared with the people who need them
Tasks, groceries and packing lists in one app, kept in sync for everyone on the list.
Names and contents are encrypted on your device. Due dates, done state and who an item is assigned to stay readable to our server, so reminders and sync work.
What you get
- Checklist, grocery (sorted into aisles as you type) and packing/template styles
- Due dates, repeat and reminders
- Shared lists with assignees on Family, Business and Enterprise
- Natural-language quick add, like "call plumber tomorrow 9am"
- Export a list, or all of them, as a CSV spreadsheet
An address book you actually control
Names, numbers, addresses and birthdays for your household or team — not a data broker's product.
End-to-end encrypted, including names and numbers.
What you get
- Birthdays and anniversaries on a virtual calendar
- Autocomplete when inviting people to events or booking a meeting
- Import from vCard (Google, Apple, Outlook) or CSV
- Shared contact books on Family, Business and Enterprise
Envelope budgeting, without handing over a bank password
Give every dollar a job, month by month — the same method as well-known budgeting apps, included in your plan.
End-to-end encrypted; nothing is shared with a bank or an aggregator.
What you get
- A budget, accounts and reports, with bills and subscriptions tracked alongside
- Renewal and "cancel by" dates shown in Budgets, with a link from a bill to its login in the vault
- Import CSV or OFX/QFX/QBO — no bank connection needed
- Export transactions, a monthly category summary, and bills and subscriptions as CSV
- Shared budgets on Family, Business and Enterprise
Quick polls, scheduling polls and quizzes
Ask a question, find a time, or run a quiz — share the result with a link.
Polls are guest-facing: our server reads questions and ballots to run the page and tally results, so polls are not end-to-end encrypted. Anonymous polls don't record who cast which ballot.
What you get
- Nine question types: single, multiple and ranked choice, rating, scale, NPS, open text, image choice and scheduling slots
- Anyone with the link, invited voters only, or one ballot per verified email
- A scheduling poll finalizes straight into your calendar
- Quizzes with per-question scoring
Invitations and RSVPs for anything you're hosting
From a backyard BBQ to a 300-guest wedding, in one flow.
RSVP status and headcount are server-readable so we can enforce capacity and send reminders. Meal choices, dietary needs and answers to your own questions are sealed in the guest's browser so only you can read them.
What you get
- Public or private events, with plus-ones, meal choices and dietary needs
- Import your guest list from a CSV/XLSX file or your Contacts
- A waitlist when you're full, and a QR pass emailed for every "yes"
- A door-staff page for check-in by name search — no app or account needed
- Email your guests invitations, reminders and updates, built from ready-made designs
- Co-hosts from your own household or team
A gift registry with items from any store
Paste a link from anywhere; guests see one list, so nobody doubles up.
Item details and claims are server-readable, so the public page can show what's still available. Your private notes and thank-you drafts are end-to-end encrypted.
What you get
- Add an item from any store's URL — the title, store and price fill in for you (product photos aren't stored on the registry yet)
- Cash funds and group gifts through your own PayPal.me or e-Transfer links; Atrium never touches the money
- Surprise mode hides who claimed what until you're ready to see it
- Thank-you tracking after the big reveal
Forms with logic, calculations and records
Build a form with real logic, then search and export what comes back.
Standard mode is server-readable, which is what makes routing, search and exports possible. Private mode seals text answers so only your reviewers can read them — you choose per form. Uploaded files are not yet encrypted in either mode; that's a known gap, not a design choice.
What you get
- Conditional logic, calculated fields and every common question type
- Send one section to someone else by an email link, with an optional 6-digit code
- Searchable records with CSV, XLSX and PDF exports
- Templates for things like HR onboarding and offboarding
- Webhooks and an organisation forms console on Business and Enterprise
Shared where it helps, private where it matters
Family, Business and Enterprise put several people on one account and one bill. Each person keeps their own private vault, notes and calendar; shared vaults, lists, contact books, budgets and calendars hold what you have in common.
One account for the people you trust
The owner invites people by email. An invitation creates a new Atrium account that belongs to the team, so an address that already has an account can't be invited — the person can use a different address instead.
Before anyone joins, we tell them how it works: a sealed copy of their account key is kept for the owner, and released only if the owner removes them or closes the account. The security page explains exactly what that means.
People and roles
- Family: 4 people included, more for a fee each; the owner invites and removes people
- Accounts for children on Family: the owner sets them up, sees only what the child shares, and can help them back in through a recorded 24-hour recovery the child is told about
- Business and Enterprise: priced per seat; owner, admin and member roles, and the owner can let admins or a custom role invite and remove members
- The owner chooses which apps each member can use, and whether they can export data; members can ask for more
- Hand ownership to another member, who has to accept it
Admin controls (Business and Enterprise)
- Custom roles and groups
- Organisation policies: require two-step sign-in, cap how long browsers stay unlocked, limit session length and count, restrict sharing to the organisation, turn off outside calendar connections, limit the admin console to your IP ranges
- Four-eyes approval: sensitive admin actions wait for a second admin
- Break-glass requests to open a time-locked item early, approved by its owner
- An audit log kept up to 2 years on Business and 5 on Enterprise, with a signed export
When someone leaves
- Members can't leave on their own; the owner (or an admin allowed to) removes them
- A removed member's account is deleted, and what they stored in the team passes to the owner, flagged for review
- A member can ask to have their account deleted in the app; if the owner doesn't act first, it happens after 30 days
- If the owner closes the account, the team closes and every member's account is deleted
One key for everything, and a way back
Signing in and unlocking are separate. You sign in with a code sent to your email, plus a second factor if you add one. Then your master password unlocks your data on your device.
- Email code sign-in, with optional authenticator app (TOTP) or passkey
- Unlock with your master password or a passkey
- A Recovery Kit you save at setup, as a text file or QR code
- See and end your sign-in sessions and devices, and review your own audit log
- Support can see your account's settings and records read-only, never your encrypted content; they can make changes or sign in as the owner only if the owner turns that on, and every support session is recorded and emailed to you
- Built-in and custom themes, generated from a few colours of your choice, with light and dark modes
- Family plans include 4 people, with room to add more; Business is priced per seat, 10-seat minimum; Enterprise is 25 seats and up, on custom terms
- Runs in your web browser, with nothing to install, and can be added to a phone's home screen. The browser extension is available as a direct download today (store listings pending); desktop and mobile apps are coming soon
- The Atrium app itself is in English today; the pages your guests see are in English, French and Spanish
One platform, every app, one extremely affordable price.
Try Atrium free for 14 days. No card and nothing charged when the trial ends; subscribe within a day of it ending to keep your data. Your notes and calendars export in open formats.
