The trial
Every new account gets a 14-day trial with everything included. We don't ask for a card, and nothing is charged when it ends. You can subscribe at any point during the trial.
A few things wait until you subscribe, to keep public pages from being misused: forms can't be shared outside your account; public polls, invitations and registries open once your email is confirmed and your account is a day old, two at a time; emails to guests are capped at 25 in total; and redirects after someone submits are off.
If the trial ends and you haven't subscribed, you have 1 day to subscribe. During that day the account is locked: you can subscribe, export your data (twice at most) or delete the account. After that day the account and everything in it is permanently deleted. We email you 3 days before the trial ends and again when it ends.
Plans and billing
Personal and Family are billed yearly. Business can choose monthly or yearly billing when you subscribe; yearly costs about 30% less than paying monthly. You can switch a Business plan between monthly and yearly from the Billing page at any time — the switch applies at your next renewal, so nothing is charged or refunded when you make it. Enterprise can be billed monthly or yearly too; contact us.
Prices are in US dollars. If your billing address is in Canada, you're billed in Canadian dollars at the same numbers: a plan listed at US$58.80 a year is charged CA$58.80 a year, so you effectively save the exchange rate. Your currency is set by your billing country when you subscribe and stays the same for that subscription.
Paying
You can pay by card or with a PayPal account. Payments are processed by PayPal: when you add a card, the number goes straight to PayPal and never reaches our servers. We keep only what we need to show and manage it, such as the card brand, the last four digits and the expiry date.
Your plan renews automatically at the end of each billing period — once a year, or each month on monthly billing — charged to your default payment method. For yearly billing we email you 14 days and 3 days before each renewal, so there are no surprises; on monthly billing you get a receipt each month.
You manage payment methods on the Billing page: add a card or a PayPal account, choose the default, or remove one. You can't remove your only payment method while your plan is set to renew; cancel first, and it won't renew.
Seats and family members
Business is priced per seat with a 10-seat minimum; Enterprise (25 seats and up, custom terms, not self-serve) is set up by contacting us. Family includes 4 people, and extra members can be added up to the plan's limit.
- Adding a seat or member is charged right away, for the rest of your current billing period (the month or the year).
- Removing one takes effect at your next renewal. You keep what you've paid for until then.
- If a smaller plan or fewer seats would leave more people than seats, you choose who to remove as part of the change. They're removed right away: their accounts are deleted and what they stored is handed to you, flagged for review.
Changing plans
Moving up to a bigger plan takes effect immediately, and you pay only the difference for the rest of your current billing period. Moving down takes effect at your next renewal. Before you confirm, the Billing page shows the exact amount and anything over the new plan's limits.
If a payment fails
We email you straight away, and you keep full access for 24 hours while you update your payment method. If the payment still can't be collected after that, the account is suspended.
Suspension and deletion
A paid account is suspended when a payment can't be collected within those 24 hours, or when a cancelled plan reaches the end of the period you paid for. While it's suspended:
- you can only renew, export your data or delete the account. Nothing else opens;
- you can export at most 2 times in total. Each export is recorded;
- members of a team can't use it either. They're told, can export their own data (twice) and can ask the owner to renew.
A suspended account is permanently deleted after 30 days, together with every member of its team. We email you when it's suspended and again 24 hours before it's deleted. Renewing at any time before then restores everything.
A trial that ends without a subscription gets 1 day, not 30 (see above).
Cancelling
Cancel from the Billing page at any time. Your plan keeps working until the end of the period you've paid for, and nothing more is charged. After that, the account is suspended and deleted 30 days later unless you renew; export what you want to keep first.
Invoices
Every charge has an invoice on the Billing page, with a PDF you can download. Your name, address and tax number (if you have one) go in Billing details.
